Rave of the day, Tobasco pepper stuffed olives. Found them at one of the markets in Cairo. Holy Crap these things are like crack!

Ok, I know that all of this is not primal but damn it was good!

Was invited to have a bit of breakfast with my Egyptian friends at the office which consisted of a flat flaky bread, honey and Mish which is a fermented cheese that is made over here.

Holy crap it was good! The cheese is very pungent and salty so was going between bread with cheese and bread with honey. What a wonderful contrast! And of course, all eaten with the fingers.

Here is a description about mish, I highly recommend it.

A great day on all fronts.

Rave of the weekend: my future husband threw a surprise birthday party for me. He even got my friend from CT and my grandmother there! I suspected he was doing something, but I thought it might just be his family (which would've been nice too, but not nearly as awesome/amazing). I've never had a surprise party or been part of one and it was fabulous. How many more exciting adjectives can I use? I feel/felt incredibly loved. I totally cried (and he knew I would, he warned everyone!).

Rave of the day - I've managed four weeks of avoiding grains. Not completely, but making different choices most of the time. I *never* thought that I could give up bread - I am so proud of myself!

Way to go...it gets easier the longer you are without grain. Over 1 year for me without bread.

    ROTD: Germany.....

I'm in Munich for 5 days worth of meetings and document reviews. Munich is such a beautiful city and everyone looks so healthy, unlike the sick looking people that Americans have become.

Almost everyone here walks and/or bikes. Public transport is easy to use. And of course, while not primal, I do love German beer!
