How do you take gelatin as a supplement?
What is 'hydolyzed protein' anyway? Doesn't the refining process like... do weird things to it? I would like to just sprinkle it on my food but it seems kind of sketch.
It contributes to the structure of organs including skin and bones. Given the fluoride is a negative for bones you might want to combat that with collagen. Since I started taking Great Lakes about 3 months ago my surgically repaired knee from 20 years ago gives me much less trouble. If you don't liek the taste, add some organic vanilla extract.
Maybe I'm ignorant on this, but what's the point of organic gelatin?
I understand purchasing grassfed/organic meats. Toxins are stored in the fats, so if you are consuming animals raised on antibiotics or in dirty living conditions, the toxins would be inherent to the fat.
Also, whole cuts of meats for animals fed their natural diets are generally more nutritious. More CLA, more omega 3's, etc. But gelatin is just empty protein. It doesn't contain fat, it's not a whole food...so what's the point of spending lots of money on something with no fat or micronutrients?
