    Still gaining and depressed :(

    Primal Fuel
    Greetings!
A lot of you by now have read my story so I won't go into it again. Anywho, I've been on PB since October/November 2010. I lost about 4 lbs. and an inch in the waist and a little in the hips. After about a month it came back plus a couple pounds. (No changes in diet or exercise) So I took the advice of more experienced PB-ers and cut out nut butters and most dairy and changed to HIIT workouts. The same thing happened again! So, I started VLC about the end of January/beginning of Feb. and once again, the same thing has happened.
I rotate workouts every few weeks. I'm keeping up on my weights, walking and cardio. I try to rotate in some HIITS every few weeks. I watch my calories on the days I don't work out, eat a little more on the days I do. I try to have a 300 calorie deficit every day. I have fasted one day a week since starting VLC. It is so very important to me that I do not go back to being overweight.
Could it be that the high fat and low carb does not work for me? I'm almost up to the next size in pants and not sure what to do about it. I think my body hates me. . .
    Any suggestions? Thanks!

The only reason I could think of primal not "working" (assuming you are eating clean) is if there is hormonal dysregulation.
    How is your stress level?
    Everything in moderation, including moderation.

If it's not your hormones, you may simply be eating more than you realize. IFing may help--but only do it if your hormones are OK.

I do have a high stress job but I'm not sure about my hormones. Will post-pregnancy mess with your hormones? Is there a way to get these checked?

Thanks you! I do keep a journal of everything I eat and am very honest about it.

+1 on the hormones. Thyroid tests are always a good idea in situations like this.

Also stress alone can come close to stopping all weight loss.

Thanks! I have been checked and the thyroid is normal. But I did get the "eat less, move more" speech. The doc basically did not believe me that I was eating right and exercising. So it was not much help. Bummer.

Holy hannah, post preggo hormones are a bear! We had a little slip after my pregnancy and kind of let my thyroid levels slide. It was bad news, sister. Definitely go get your hormones & stuff checked. Pregnancy is a wonderful, beautiful thing, but it's also very demanding on the body, and especially so after baby arrives.

Do you have your thyroid numbers? Which thyroid tests did you get?
