    Hiking for my food?

    Shop Now
So I've been on the hunt for a source of good quality meat at reasonable prices in Chicago and I think I've found it. A local meat-packing plant has self-service pickup where you can things like Choice Ribeyes for $2.99 a lb! Only problem is it is an hour away on the bus or two hours by walking.

    So I had a thought.

I have my weight lifting regime down pat - getting that part of my workout out of the way is no problem, but since I work from home I often find excuses to not leave the house and go for a walk. I was thinking, then, maybe I should take this walk to get my food? A 4 hour hike once a week would fill up my move slowly quota, and it seems to be fitting that I have to walk for my meals like my ancestors.

    What do people think?

Sounds good, unless it's the middle of summer... then bring some ice packs or something!

Curious, which part of town is this meat-packing plant? N,S,W? City or burbs?

If you are into geocaching it might make a great day for an outing. Adiquate sun thats for sure as well as slow moving and lifing some weight on the way back. Gives you time to really think about how your life is and how Grok lived too. Go with it and keep us posted.
