Why not just pack a little cooler with some good food?
Drawn butter, which is actually clarified butter, is fine for most people.
We are going to be on the road next Wed. We will stop at a fast food place somewhere between here and there.
According to the BAD, GOOD, BETTER, BEST concept.
Is there anything I can pick up that will be better or just go ahead and get the Big Mac and call it a cheat.
ALSO, I see that Lobster is an accepted meal. Is there any substitute for the drawn butter or just go ahead and enjoy it the once or twice a year that I have it?
Th ansk,
Wm

Every six months or so, I end up getting fast food. My preference is Burger King, where I get three 99 cent junior whoppers w/o mayo and toss the buns.
What's wrong with butter? Are you dairy intolerant? Butter is an important part of my diet. It's the cheapest, most convenient way to get pastured beef fat into your body.

Just get bunless burgers. Burgers are usually the only things at fast food restaurants that aren't cooked in vegetable oils or have weird additives. They are usually just 100% beef. Fast food chicken though is some really nasty stuff. So I personally wouldn't get any kind of grilled chicken anything at a fast food restaurant. It's bound to be loaded with soy, veg oil, colors, preservatives, fillers, etc. And bring along some indulgent road food, like trail mix, cheese and fruit. I love road food! It's kind of crazy that I use road trips as an excuse to eat treats considering I'm actually less active than usual, but whatever! My favorite is a big bag of salty pistachios, apples and some extra sharp cheddar slices.

I like the salads at Subway with extra meat and bacon.
Most convenience stores have salads, fruit, eggs; or pack your own. I prefer to make-take my own foods, which is less worrying and far more cost effective. KFC has roasted chicken now, so that's an option.

Stop and get a rotisserie chicken at a grocery store. Barring that get an angus burger at mcD's, toss the bun.
Wheat is the new tobacco. Spread the word.
Beef jerky is my version of fast food. I made a couple dehydrator loads of it this weekend and it travels very well. If I am traveling and can't rely on my own stash then I'd buy some of the commercial kind before I'd consider fast food.
+1 Fast food isn't food, IMO!Why not just pack a little cooler with some good food?
