So lately I have been 100% grain free, but have broken down a few times this past few weeks, and eaten sugar (ice cream, coffee with sugar, etc) Not fruit sugar, cane sugar. And about a half hour after eating, I have the most intense thirst ever!
Any ideas as to why? Has this happened to anyone else?
I forgot the exact mechanism behind this, but it's definitely a common thing. It's especially common with diabetics.
Sugar makes me incredibly thirsty. Salt too, to a lesser extent. I used to be able to slam down entire 16oz bottles of water regularly when I was eating the SAD. Now half a bottle leaves my stomach feeling very wet and sloshy and uncomfortable. I just don't want or require nearly as much.
