Question Am I really that "Sensitve" to Dairy?

    Primal Fuel
Ok.. so I've been dairy free for 3 days now, since having a rebounding thrush explosion

I think I've discovered that I'm one of *those* people for whom dairy is extremely insuligenic. The past 2 days I haven't been hungry in the am... I just have my 2 cups of french press w/ the Coconut "crack" creamer and I'm off... then I make "brunch" sometime btwn noon and 2pm...

before going off dairy I'd have cheese in my eggs, I'd have lunch, and I'd have a full fat string cheese if I was hungry in the afternoon to tide me over until til we sat down to a HUGE primal dinner.... and It felt like I was just hungry...

flash fwd to yesterday/today...mehhh not hungry... I haven't eaten since 9pm last night (coconut crack creamer in coffee not w/standing) Its l ike I've suddenly stumbled into daily Ifing (though I think w/the coconut crack creamer in my coffee its really not a true IF) by eliminating dairy

Has anyone else who's done a whole 30 or just eliminated dairy noticed this? It can't just be me?

I'm using coconut milk as a substitute for HWC in recipes, I'm using bacon fat, duck fat or coconut oil for cooking...

Now I've been dairy free before - but I substituted "franken foods" for diary... this time around... once I beat back this thrush explosion I'm going to use dairy like a treat - couple times a month assuming I can handle it... I am going to give myself a full 30days to clear the dairy from my system and see if it helps deal w/the thrush and my seasonal allergies (Damn fornicating trees!)

I'd love to hear others experiences w/going dairy free..

not just you. i can handle cheese and butter on occasion, MAYBE yogurt. the inclusion of HWC to up my fat intake did some really bad things to me.

I'm finding that I'm similar - as much as I love HWC, and detest coconut (YES! I said it! I hate the stuff!) and am going to really have to work to find enough fat without it, I'm going to have to do it. It's wreaking havoc wth my blood sugar and that's not a good thing.

    <sniff> no more sour cream <sniff sniff>

Oh, I feel you. I never thought dairy was an issue for me, (or maybe it was just denial?) but I'm on Day 5 and I'm noticing the same as you. My appetite is far more stable, and I'm less puffy, as well.

I do miss driving through Starbucks though. Just a little.
Heck no, I don't want no dang turkey bacon!

I just started Day 1 of a Whole 30 program for the month of April. I was about 75-80% primal before, but with lots of dairy. I LOVE cheese the way some women LOVE chocolate. I'm not a milk drinker, other than in my coffee. But cheese, sour cream, whipping cream and the occasional yogurt or kefir were in my diet multiple times daily. I was stunned to find out how much I didn't tolerate wheat, so I'm going to be interested to see what effect going completely dairy-free is going to make. Glad to have read your thread, it gives me something to look for in terms of a reaction.

Just broke up with dairy myself. Haven't noticed any changes yet, but it's been less than a week. Still pining for full fat Fage, and find myself smacking my lips whenever I open a Greek yogurt for my daughter. Have been wiping my hands instead of licking them. It's progress.
