    Whole 30- Bacon Out?

I'm probably answering my own question here, but. Whole 30. Bacon in our out? I think it falls under the processed food category, plus I just noticed my expensive, uncured bacon has sugar in it. Grr.

Off to store for some scallops for dinner. Jealous that the kid & husband get to have bacon wrapped scallops for dinner w/veggies.

When I asked I was told it was processed so therefore out. Batty did the Baco30...whole30 + Bacon. I have no idea how that went specifically but overall she knows her stuff and you can't argue with her results.

Well I lived without bacon before, I can do it again. It's only for 30 days.

The plan says to limit bacon and to read the ingredients and go with nitrate free. It's about 5.99 a pound in my Whole Foods.

Side pork is the way to go. Same thing as bacon, just uncured. Baked in the oven with salt and pepper is better than pan-fried bacon, IMHO.

For a fairly buff woman, she lost .5" in her thighs.

As long as you get the nitrate free uncured version I think it's fine. I know I've used it as a staple on the whole 30 and it didn't seem to cause any types of problems. I wouldn't go into a restaurant and eat their bacon, who knows where it's from.
