Scientists create animals that are part-human

    Primal Fuel
RENO, Nev. — On a farm about six miles outside this gambling town, Jason Chamberlain looks over a flock of about 50 smelly sheep, many of them possessing partially human livers, hearts, brains and other organs.

EDIT: Oops, I see this is a 2005 article. Google news posted it to me as if it were recent. Interesting none the less.

Now we can have literal sheeple!

This makes for an awesome thought experiment:

"The “idea that human neuronal cells might participate in 'higher order' brain functions in a nonhuman animal, however unlikely that may be, raises concerns that need to be considered,” the academies report warned."

Of course it is quite literally impossible due to improper brain anatomy, but a nice thought. The guy who makes a talking horse is my official hero.

The origins of my anthropomorphic features are magical, by the way. Waaaay outside the domain of biology.

Zanjani and other stem cell scientists defend their research and insist they aren’t creating monsters — or anything remotely human.

    Where's the fun in that?

Send some to graze the fields around Fukushima.
If comics have taught us anything, it's that all you have to do is dose anything biological with radiation and it morphs into some kind of super hero / villain.

anybody ever read Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood? Because they sound like pigoons. Next, they'll be growing humanesque brain tissues, and when society collapses, they'll be coming for ya. (pig-human hybrids are scarier, because they're smart anyway, and like to eat meat!)

    MANBEARPIG!

These kind of experiments scare the crap out of me though. It doesn't seem right.
Maybe the mythological beasts are really experiments done by the aliens who created humans for slave labor...

I'll still eat it. Even if humans make all animals sentient, I'll still eat them.
