Stumbled to this great forum through another fitness site & can't wait to start the 30 day Primal Challenge! I have tried everything from low-carb, vegetarian, vegan, flexitarian, low-fat/high protein to pre-packaged, planned meals (uggh!)
Best past success has come from a higher protein, lower carb, low fat diet with a good amount of veggies.
I have ordered the Primal Blueprint book, but have not received or read it yet.
I will journal my daily eats/exercise here for the 30 day challenge, most likely making some tweaks after reading the book.
Day 1- Starting weight- 170.8 lbs (yikes!)
B- 2 eggs, 1 oz chicken breast, 1tbsp butter, 1/4 cup fresh salsa, 1 tbs olive oil
S- handful raw almonds (20), 3 pineapple chunks, 2 small strawberries
L- Big salad, 3 oz grilled chicken, 1 tbs parmesan cheese, 1/2 avocado
S- handful raw almonds (20), 1 hardboiled egg, 1 cup mixed raw veggies.
D- 4 oz grass fed beef (local farm) green chilies, big salad
S- Coffee w/milk
Felt pretty good all day, not a lot of cravings...surprisingly.
