Spring has hit and is nearly gone in West TX. We're on our way to summer. We hit the 90's 3 times in the past week, it felt good, after the downright frigid winter we had. I think we'll hit summer around Easter, maybe a little sooner. The grackles are almost gone, so summer is almost here.

NYC is cold and rainy today.

We did have a pretty nice weekend though!

Tons of fresh snow here. It's too bad Mark isn't coming to Reno this weekend because it's prime time to ski up here.

Here in "sunny California" it's rainy, breezy, and about 50. And we're looking at that for the better part of the next two weeks, as we have for the better part of the past two weeks.

It's been getting up in the high 70's the last few days and is supposed to reach 82 (probably higher) in Nashville tomorrow. After that it'll be rainy and drop down into the 60s again. Friday we took the dog walking in the creek. I had to try out my new KSOs, and they were brilliant. Especially climbing up the embankment and over rocks.

You guys should come to Tahoe to go skiing...

After a pair of heavy storms buried the Sierra in feet of snow over the weekend, another storm is aiming for the Reno-Tahoe area Tuesday night into Wednesday, with up to 2 feet of fresh snow possible in the higher elevations. Still another storm, this one possibly stronger, is expected by Thursday night.“It’s one right after the other,” said Brian O’Hara, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Reno.

The weekend storms, coming with spring’s arrival, were impressive. At the upper elevations of Alpine Meadows, nearly 8 1/2 feet of snow fell, the fourth-largest three-day snowfall on record there, resort operators said.
