starbucks - heavy whipping cream? page

I am doing fasting bloodwork today for cholesterol and thyroid and plan to stop at Starbucks afterward since I have a gift card. I almost never go to Starbucks these days, but when I did I used to get an Americano and add a little half and half to it.

Does anyone know if I can order it with HWC instead?

I know they have whipped cream, but that also has many pumps of their sugar laden vanilla syrup in it.

Just wondering if anyone knows if they have it. Otherwise, I might take a little coconut milk with me to add!

It depends on which one you go to. The one near my house will use HWC if requested (I think it's called a breve), but the one in the bookstore the next town over didn't have any. From what I've seen, if it's a solo Starbucks, you can get it with HWC, but if it's in a bookstore or part of another store, you're SOL.

My Starbucks has it. Breve just means add cream and they usually add half&half if you say breve. You have to specifically ask for heavy cream.

In my opinion, coffee with an add shot is far superior to an Americano.

In UK Starbucks will give you a jug of unwhipped whipping (heavy)cream instead of the same dispensed out of their NO2 whippers. (to which they always add syrup)

Caffe Nero the only chain coffee house not to add syrup.

I had to give up the Americanos and go back to drip coffee. Venti Americanos have 25 calories and 4g sugar each black.

I'm going to do that from now on (though I go to Starbucks maybe 2x per year). I can't figure out how they get 4 grams of sugar in an Americano - espresso/water???

Anyway, on a good note, they did have the HWC!

At home I either add HWC or coconut milk, so I'll just go back to that. For rare visits to Starbucks, at least I know I can get HWC...
