I can get them unsalted (Thank goodness!) for $13/lb in my Wegmans bulk aisle. I'm always a little concerned about the freshness of stuff in that area but they seemed quite crispy. The Mauna Loa stuff is available at BJs for $9/lb (ish? can't remember) but it's so heavily salted...blegh.

OK, this is probably not very helpful at this point, but last week I ordered 2lbs raw macadamias for 14.99 + 5.99 shipping on Amazon (from JR Mushrooms & Specialties), but I just went to the link and looks like the price jumped to $28! It seemed like a crazy deal when I saw it, typo, maybe? Glad I got in on it, they should be delivered tonight.

In case anyone wants to add to card to price watch: Macadamias - Whole 2 lbs. (32 oz.): Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food

Ok, I really don't understand the prices I am seeing in the links and on the web.

My local whole foods (Allen and Richardson Texas - Dallas suburb) sells raw macadamias for 10.99/lb.
The online web prices in the links in this thread have them at 13.99/lb to 14.99/lb. That is a ridiculous difference, whats going on here? I was hoping I could order online because I thought 10.99/lb was too expensive but I guess I will just be raiding my local Whole Foods....

Went to Good Earth yesterday and got 2 lbs raw macadamias. Mauna Loa would've cost 5x at much if I got it at the grocery store. This nut is in macadamia heaven now

In case anyone is interested, the vendor I ordered from last time seems to have brought the price back down on their raw macadamias (which are excellent quality, btw). You can get:

    - 2lbs for 16.99+5.99 S+h, so $11/lb
    - 5lbs for 39.99+7.49 s+h, so $9.50/lb (update: OOS now, guess someone got the last one!)

    Macadamias - Whole 2 lbs. (32 oz.): Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food

TJs has always been my nut source. However, the mac nuts I recently purchased there were "off" -- on the verge of rancidity. Big disappointment. The store was great about taking them back and refunding. Rather than try again, however, I went back to mac nuts from WF. Will have to check out the online resources posted in this thread. Great info.
