How do you store a cut avocado?

I can only eat half an avocado at a time, and despite putting the other half in a ziploc bag with a bit of lemon juice, it still turned yuck.

How do you store the other half of an avocado?

    In my belly.

Seriously, just eat the whole thing.

I saw a stupid "avocado saver" at the grocery store. Suppose you could do that.

Maybe try dousing the cut surface with lemon juice, then pressing plastic wrap tightly against the exposed flesh.

this. if there's plastic wrap right up against the flesh, it shouldn't turn "yuck"

I squeeze lemon juice over it and store it in a plastic baggie with the seed still in the half I am keeping.

I've never, ever had that problem, but when I turn several into guacamole they store well. The lime juice helps, then you press plastic wrap right on the surface of the guacamole in the bowl.

Always store the half that still has the seed in it - it prevents it from turning so yucky - really, it does! I pop the left over half with the seed into a round tupperware container with airtight lid. There is enough air in there so that it doesn't get damp and rotty, but keeps the whole thing quite nicely for several days.

I just stick it in a plastic bag. Sure, it gets all brown and gross-looking, but it still tastes fine to me.

I wrap it in saran wrap....the closer the plastic to the cut edge, the less brown it will be
