Hi All, I'd like to share this recipe that we have used a couple of times now. I love the smell as it is cooking and the taste is wonderful.
Five spice chicken with mushroom sauce
4 Chicken breast fillets, (we used 1 kg of thighs)
2 tsp Five spice powder , (we used 5 tsp)
1 tbs olive oil
200gm Fresh shiitake mushroom, sliced thinly
1 tbs soy sauce
270 ml can coconut cream
1, Coat chicken with five spice, cook in heated oiled large frying pan. Remove from pan; cover chicken to keep warm.
2, Add oil and mushrooms to same pan; cook, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are soft. Add sauce and coconut cream to pan; simmer, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly.
3, Serve chicken with mushroom sauce and steamed green beans, if you like, ( we had cauliflower and broccoli and zucchini)
