This is good thinking. Maybe establish a few areas where they can farm organically, tend some happy pigs, cows, and chickens. Every once in a while one of them gets promoted to a higher level of contributing

If we're talking 'end of days' sort of event, I'm not sure I want to survive it. Yeah, yeah, you Paleo-predators are going after the vegetarians and their plant-derived Omega first. But when that mega-fauna gets hunted out your attention will turn to older game, with our notoriously delicious fat stores.

I wouldn't kill someone to chomp on them but if they were already dead and my survival depended on it, I don't think there is anything immoral about it. I'm thinking of the Donner Party and that plane full of soccer players who crashed in the mountains. That of course is doing what you have to to survive until rescue comes or the snow melts enough to get to a better place. If I were looking at that situation with no foreseeable end, then I'm with Saoirse.
