I started eating primal in the beginning of Sept. Around November I felt comfortable enough to IF a bit, really just skipping 'breakfast'. Around the holidays I completely fell off the wagon. I just bought the Primal Blueprint, and I’m only half way through. I saw where Mark said to only eat when you’re hungry. Seriously I can sometimes go 24 without starving! I get the hunger pangs, but nothing I couldn’t ignore for a few minutes, take a drink of coffee or water, and it would go away. My problem now, is I think I’m not eating enough. I tried to eat this morning, and I could barely get down a ½ cup of watermelon. At lunch, I tried to eat 2oz of protein and some mixed veggies, but I’m really not hungry. Have I screwed up my metabolism?!?!? I need to get some more calories, nutrition in, but don’t want to make myself sick either. Help!

As long as it averages out, you'll be fine. In other words, you'd be fine not eating for a day or two, as long as you eat more to make up for it the following days. If there's a whole week that you're eating very little, maybe the following week you'll be hungrier and will eat more. Are things averaging out okay? Wait until you're truly hungry-if you try forcing yourself to eat it's only going to make things harder. You could be fighting off an illness, listen to your body, it won't let you starve.

I've been excercising moderatly. 3 days walking / stationary bike. 1-2 day Primal fitness.

I'm not fighting off any cold/ sicknesses. In fact, I have been sick very little this winter.

I've gotten mixed messages to eat when your hungry, but if you're trying to lose weight, you can't have too little of calories. So, which is it?

Considering the OP's situation, I don't think sugar is at all a problem.

I am new here, only a month and a half primal. However, I read something on PB Insider newsletter that was about cortisol and IF. Are you stressed? If so this may be the wrong time to fast (see article address below). Not saying that you should force eating or anything, but if you are ignoring those slight hunger pangs you mentioned (that you use coffee/water to quench), then perhaps give into them and see?
