I'm telling you, you do not want to see a woman 8 years from social security benefits in a thong.

I KNOW it's hot outside. I KNOW it's cold in the front lobby where my desk is.
for the love of Grok there has GOT to be something else you people can think of to say to me when you pass through the lobby!

I got half of a deep scaling (under the gum cleaning) done today at the dentist. Even with the anesthetic it still hurt so bad that I felt tears well up and roll out of my eyes, which embarrassed me because I didn't mean to cry - it just happened. And now half my mouth hurts like crap. Oh and it cost $113 to do half my mouth when they first told me $35. And I still have to get the other side done.

If they told you it would be $35 why would you pay more than that?

She didn't realize that I have dental insurance when she told me that at the last visit - I think she's new to billing there. She just kind of gave me an "Oh I'm sorry... I didn't have all the information then..." excuse. Because I have Army dental insurance I didn't qualify for the $35 a month payment plan.

*hugs*, Aix. Military dental coverage sucks. My hubby is retired AF, and when we were state-side, it seemed like it cost MORE to get dental work than if we'd paid cash out of our pockets.

Dentist fees are the real culprits. My stepmom is a pathologist and she jokes that she should have gone to dental school instead! No wonder two of the dentists in my hometown both drive Hummers...

    Thanks for the hug though.

    I hear you.

It's July in Vegas, and I work outside around the public. All I'm going to hear for the next 3 months is "Hot enough for ya?", at least 387 times a day. Argh!
    Durp.
