My boss: vegetarian, lunch=heaping plate of rice, potatoes and vegetables. Slim, fit, active.
Me: 3 months primal, 2 months (on and off) leptin reset: 50lb overweight, no weight loss. Got my carbs down to about 20g yesterday, up 2lb this morning*.

And I burned my bacon this a.m.


*(I did have a very high fat/high calorie day to achieve low carb)

GotD: Pharmaceuticals. I am of the firm opinion that modern medicine is an amazing, necessary thing (I'd be dead a dozen times over without it), but I am so sick of my body and brain not functioning properly on their own.

Ugh. I'm up to 10 surgeries, with more in store in the future. But hey, at least it's not every other year anymore right!
And my most recent medication has kidney stones and metabolic acidosis as side effects (among less threatening others that are just annoying as hell and need to be carefully controlled for every day! Along with controlling for the stones and acidosis of course...)

Yikes, that sucks. I've only had one surgery and that was more than enough. I'm really, really hopeful that the doc I'm seeing on the 24th will be able to help with the major issues I've been having, though.
