So much to do and work is getting in the way. I could get so much done if I could skip work today.

    Nice.

Did I mention we were both full grown adults with 2 kids each at the time?
Nice. But there's no excuse for his rude comment, since my sister has a rather large tattoo on her back (for a few years now) that he's seen, and another on her wrist, and I got my first tattoo 5 years ago. So it's not like it's even a new phenomena in the house!

I asked my mom to talk to him about it. My boyfriend was pretty pissed about that, but he is also very defensive of the women in his life. Just feeling confused about where is an appropriate boundary between "he can hate it all he wants, makes no difference to me" and "okay, but you are NOT allowed to disrespect me like that".

That comment falls into disrespect of you. He can hate the thing, but he called you defaced. That is rude. Not sure how to deal with it, but it is rude. And, seriously? This is the fourth tattoo in the house and NOW it's defacing? Geeze.

I'm gonna get a tattoo soon, my brother has a few and no one minds them at all. I think I want a couple of my favorite scriptures, one under each arm, but they're just so darn permanent, ya know? Plus, I work in a professional setting, but I do where short sleeve polo-type shirts and I would want them to be something just for me...I don't like tattoos blaring at my face all day.

I think a small tattoo where you take measurements would be helpful. So you take them in the same place all the time LOL
