People who confuse vanguardist/statist communism with other forms of socialist theory particularly irritate me.

People who falsely distinguish different types of Socialism/Communism annoy me. "Oh, but real Communism/Socialism/Bluebuggeryism hasn't been tried yet, all those millions dead, lives ruined, continents held captive, that just doesn't count."

Yes it has been tried. Plenty of intelligent people saw how things would turn over *very* early on. Read this short story by Eugene Richter, a member of the German Imperial Parliament in 1893: http://library.mises.org/books/Eugen...c%20Future.pdf

He was pretty accurate in his assessment of Germany's next 97 years, wasn't he? The logical consequences of socialism have always been obvious to anyone with a brain, but are never obvious to wishful thinkers.

GotD: Due to nutritional slacking the resulting weight gain has caused a temporary dry spell. I went from "Large but fuckable" to "Too fat, gross obese". Not good. 6 months out with no "cheat meals" I'll be good again, but for not this sucks. (or doesn't)

Actually, celiacs can also quite thin and malnourished before they switch to a gluten-free diet because their intestines are so damaged that they can't absorb nutrients from their food. Both obesity and extreme thinness can be the result of malnutrition, and celiacs can experience either one. So yes, there's a link between celiac disease and obesity, but it's not nearly as absolute as you seem to be claiming here.

My daughter's neighbor and his girlfriend were killed last night in a car vs motorcycle accident. They were on the mc. They were thrown 75 feet and pronounced dead at the scene. He was 45, she 29. Don't know the exact circumstances, but the car was turning left and the mc hit the passenger side of the car near where the sideview door mirror was. Gods why can't people be more careful.

You too. Where did you get off to? I've been too interested in real life to be around much lately and too much stress to subject myself to some of the stupid that abounds.
