    I almost always travel with a backpack rather than a suitcase because I prefer to be able to get around without needing a vehicle or a smooth road surface to roll something along. On shorter trips, I have one that meets carry-on standards (larger than a day pack, but not a full-on frame pack), and I often have security folks eye me suspiciously because I'm a woman going somewhere for two weeks with no extra luggage. Even my larger internal frame travel pack often gets a "that's all your luggage?" from the check-in counter staff.

    Also, I will walk into a hotel with my 60L pack and have some male staff member come over and basically grab it from me to "help me with my bags". I then end up watching some guy struggle trying to carry it up a flight of stairs when I just walked however far to the hotel from the bus/train/whatever with it on my back (usually uphill too).

    IMO... Grocery store Godiva isn't really Godiva at all. It's a mass market fail in order to try and get their stuff on the shelf next to Hershey's and other crap chocolate.

    I got a small Black Box of Christopher Norman while I was in NYC a few years ago... I'm hoping someone will pop one of those dark babies into my mouth to melt just before the moment of my death. It may be as close as I ever get to heaven! LOL

    There is a small chocolitier I visit on occasion when in Tampa that has good stuff
    too.

    Now... to get my hands on some Lake Champlain truffs!

    Cori, what about going with Sara Ervin's Primal Chocolate (who was recently featured on Mark's Success Stories)?

    "P.S. Most of our product is a 66% dark chocolate, but we developed a line of chocolate bars, specifically with paleo/Primal-minded folks like us in mind. We call it Akasha and the cacao content ranges from 70%-85%. In addition to being dairy and gluten free, these bars are also soy free. You can see what we’re up to at www.etherealconfections.com."

    I bet these would trump Godiva any craving of the week!

    Gotd:

    a PA who told my 75 y.o. father that he needed to be on lipitor for these numbers:
    total chol = 239* >200
    HDL = 54
    LDL = 163* >100
    VLDL = 22
    Trig = 109
    ratio = 4.4

    BTW, this was on a non-fasting blood test, he was seeing the dr for another reason and the PA said "it's been a while since we did a blood test, why don't we take some now?" and even when My dad said he had eaten a few hours before, she still ran it, and proceeded to TRY to force him on Lipitor...
    Not that I'm for it, but she doesn't even have a valid reason for suggesting he take it....Jeez, his cholesterol is better than most ppl my age...and non-fasting!

    WTF? Seriously? Makes me want to punch her in the face

    hahahhah I saw this post on my facebook wall today:
    "I am walking in the MS Westport - Travelers Walk MS 2012, presented by North American Power this year, to raise money for this disease that is very close to my ♥ My Aunt Melinda suffers from MS and this is the least i can do to help! The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the MS Walk to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Please do not feel obligated however, if you can find it in your ♥ to donate, please do, even the smallest donations do make a difference!! "

    So I responded with this:
    Here is someone that has defeated the disease without drugs, its really an amazing story and I suggest you read/or watch the video Terry Wahls MD | Defeating Progressive Multiple Sclerosis without Drugs | MS Recovery | Food As Medicine

    My Gripe of the day.

    So i was on youtube looking up some workout vids when i came across a video of a girl say how great raw vegan diet was and how much weight she lost how bad the primal diet was etc etc yawn. Then i spotted a vid from durrider. i think thats his name and watched some of his videos. I think he would make a great cult leader. Ya know the ones who will read a piece of literature then manipulate it so it backs up his way of thinking.

    It was so annoying he hasnt a clue and the more shit he speaks the more i want to scream. On his video there is a add for 30bannansaday.com so i went on to it and found before and after pics. There is one girl there who was eating a vegan diet for 10 years who kept loosing and gaining the same 10 - 20 pounds and everyone was saying how great she was. I felt so sorry for her, If she bought marks book and followed it she would have lost those 20 pounds and never found them again. also i went into the forum where there is literally loads of post about weight gain. Why can these people not see the light???

    Gripe/ rant over
