I do know the feeling. It's like there's a dome over the two cities and everything around us gets the rain. The running joke is that the clouds see skyscrapers in Midland, get scared and panic and split to go around us, reforming about an hour east of here. I miss thunderstorms. Naiad, that all sounds particularly bad. I hope some magically simple resolutions to at least some of those issues appear pronto!

    How "tragic." Heheheh.

Of course if you posted that on FB people would declare you suicidal. XD

North and east of us got pounded last night. We used to blame it on our cat, but she's been gone 2 years now and it continues.... It's interesting how one extreme or another can cause stress, although we had drought conditions a few years ago and it was wonderful in one way - no mosquitos - you could sit out in the evening or go walking in the woods without repellent and not get eaten alive.

It really is. I think if we actually were to hit our average yearly rainfall, people wouldn't know hwat the hell to do.

    GOTD:

Is rampaging arrogance and disdain for any other point of view but your own a side effect of the paleo/primal way of life or do we just tend to attract people who are already like that.

I swear if I read another post where someone is being called retarded, a freak, weird, stupid, skinny, fat or just plain fucking wrong for not thinking exactly the same way as the responder does, I'm going to lose the plot!

No one would do this in real life for fear of being smacked in the chops, so isn't it the height of cowardice to hide behind the anonomity of the internet and pour scorn on others for not thinking as you do?

We need to lighten the fuck up people, I read a post from a newbie this morning who was afraid to post a question because she's seen so many people attacked here. Is this really the community we're trying to create?

So I'm not the only one who's noticed this. That's why I started the male versus female thread but I suppose it is going on about other subjects as well. It just seems to get particularly spiteful when gender is in the mix.
