I have found with every decade since my thirties (now in my sixties) I have to do more and get less in return. It is aging, pure and simple. Especially for females. Our bodies would rather do anything than give up a pound of fat. Which is not to say that it isn't worth making the best effort one can. There are lots of benefits to the exercise and eating carefully that go beyond the size of our trousers. Some of the people on this blog don't have to work as hard as others; but for many of us, and more who are no longer in the bloom of youth, it means a lot more effort. Ever notice how the great results on big loser books/tv are almost always under 40?
This time, like all times, is a very good one, if we but know what to do with it. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Any given day you are surrounded by 10,000 idiots. Lao Tsu, founder of Taoism
