How to figure out your body type

    Shop Now
This is something I've wondered for quite some time and have read several articles on the matter but have never really been able to figure out what my body type is. I'm female, 5'5" large boned, big neck, broad shoulders. I also weigh 210 lbs and put on muscle fairly easily. I've always described myself as a short linebacker if there was such a thing for a woman. Any assistance in this area is of great appreciation.

"Body type?" As in hourglass, boyish, apple, yadayadayada?

Are you sure you're "big boned"? I always thought I was at least a medium frame but when I measure my elbow, I end up as "small frame". Google frame size and also body types, you're probably a banana, or ruler shape. I'm totally a pear except I have a chest, if my waist would widdle down i'd be an hourglass, but I have a straight torso.

just from the quick info...I'd say endomorph, but you could be some combo beyond that depending on some other traits

My wrists are 8" around. I'm pretty sure that classifies me as big boned. I have no clue as to body types or any of that. I used to always classify myself as a "blob". I always said I never had a shape.

Sounds like an "apple" or possibly a triangle. Actually, given the way most linebackers look (that's what I'm going off of), it'd like be an inverted triangle.

Most endomorphs have "soft" muscles. They are able to put on muscle fairly easily, but it's never feels dense. Endomorphs are generally described as "round". They have rounder bodies and rounder heads. Usually have a hard time losing weight.

Which comedian said, "I'm in perfect shape. ROUND is a shape"?

it depends upon what system you are using, but by your description, i would say endomorph (using the greek) and kapha (using the ayurvedic).
