    I usually have one 'cheat meal' on a saturday something like a cheesburger with sweet potato wedges.

    Some things I occasionally have are;

    Organic Milk in tea once a day (I am british so its the law)

    Maybe once a month I have a meal and a few drinks with friends.

    +1 The best way to turn people off to going Primal is to be obnoxious in public. No matter how much better you look or feel, if you put a damper on everyone's good time, you make going Primal look bad.

    I agree with those who have said that not planning for the 20% and leaving it for unexpected pleasures or, if necessary, disasters, keeps me much more likely to stay close to the ideal.

    I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the Food.

    This, and cheese for me. It's sort of borderline primal so I eat it sparingly, as a garnish or to jazz something up. Not as a snack or main part of the meal anymore! lol

    Be sure to try a chocolate croissant, mmm. I really wanted to try macarons when I went to paris, but I never got the chance.

    I am going to Paris in April for 4 days and will have to be very careful not to overindulge in patisseries. My fave - something called a divorce (or a fiancee). Eclair that is half coffee creme patissiere and half chocolate creme patissiere, with appropriate 50/50 icing on top. OMG!

    Trouble is - I can't just have one cake. I would start intending to have 1 (justifying it as 20%) but end up hoovering up half the cakes in Paris (and that my friends is a LOT of cake).

    I have til April to work on my ability to not NEED cake and to come up with an appropriate survival plan.

    BTW - macarons - also too good to be true!

    Probably more like a 10% but I eat a little bit of ice cream every now and then, and various coffee drinks although I generally get them unsweetened or with very little sweetener now
