I'll give it a trythanks for the suggestion.
I know the feeling. THere's something I do that helps me, but I don't know that it's a viable option for you.
Lay on a sofa, bed, something, on your back and dangle your head/ neck off the edge, to the point where they're kinda dangling off the piece of furniture while the rest of you is supported. Again, you're on your back. On the stomach doesn't work as well for some reason, I think it's the angle. You'll feel all the snot/ gunk, etc "flow" to the top of your sinuses. If you have enough of your neck over the edge, you'll feel your neck stretch. If you feel pain (bad pain, good pain is ok), stop and don't try again. Once things have quit moving and your neck feels semi relaxed, move back towards being upright. Things'll flow downward again, but you'll need to blow your nose and hock up gunk. Once that's all said and done, I usually feel alot better. Maybe it'll help you.

The bone that your head lays upon might be askew. If so, it can cause headaches that nothing will fix. (Except getting that bone realigned, which is easy to do.)

I'm a major neck cracker but that's where most of my tension lies, neck and shoulders which from what I have found out is pretty typical for women folk. I need to find something that helps my 2 youngest with their headaches. Not only does the youngest get bad headaches but the middle is now as well.

I don't crack my neck, but I did get into a fender bender about a year ago and manage to get several cervical protrusions out of it. I've thought abt going to a chiro, but I'm still leery of it.
