Iol I'm not too bad and totally understand that it was a one off fluke and they aren't really mini psycho killers with fluffy tails (or is that just what they want us to think?..), but they do make me a little skittish still

My 6'3" baby brother still runs screaming like a little girl whenever a fly goes anywhere near him

I'm struggling to imagine what this would look like if your brother came to Australia. I just got home from my morning walk where I had a posse of flies riding on my back for most of the walk and blinked several out of my eyes and nearly ate one.

He would probably end up hugging his knees and rocking in a corner somewhere.

Squirrel tracks up the legs... that is fantastic! Not the injury, the story told in hindsight, you know. Whoooooo!

Reminds me of the time I actually managed to catch a field mouse barehanded - the thing had crawled into the basement of a convent I was once working at. Cute little thing turned its head right around, Exorcist style, and sank its teeth into my knuckle. Work made me go right to the clinic under some workman's comp injury excuse - they were worried about rabies. So I get there and the front desk ladies were already chuckling out loud about the chick with the mouse bite. Doc took a good look, and proceeded to tell me that Jersey mice don't carry rabies - that is rats; mice carry the plague...
I have a mantra that I have spouted for years... "If I eat right, I feel right. If I feel right, I exercise right. If I exercise right, I think right. If I think right, I eat right..." Phil-SC

Early 80s too, so you know this little 6 or 7 year old was wearing short shorts and that little bugger went all the way up one leg and down the other!

I blame the pikies living next door who had trapped and kept it in a cage to "tame" it. Apparently they didn't

Totally, what is a little plague amongst friends?
somehow I manage to leave my intelligence and decorum at the door wherever I go. I doubt your journal will be an exception to that - not on the rug

What the F&#* is a decorum? - Mr. Anthony
