Well, if I had known creepy old gay pedophiles were missing me so much I would have come back sooner...or worked on sprints more. >.>

Last day of the W30. Tomorrow will be a day of food debauchery. Then another W30 I think. I will be around though. One month of absence was enough. With the government shutting down I will need some MDA to fill my day.
somehow I manage to leave my intelligence and decorum at the door wherever I go. I doubt your journal will be an exception to that - not on the rug

I'll be glad to have you around with the government shutdown. We can complain together.

I quit my whole30 this weekend. Saturday morning the tempation of chocolate milk and hashbrowns was too much. Saturday and Sunday were full of food debachery.

It was good. I like it. No wondering about "Can I eat this? Oh, it is just my 20%. Etc." No temptations really.

Tomorrow will be the same. I already have the menu planned...

    ice cream for breakfast

    lunch is pizza

dinner is foie gras and a huge ass burger with bacon and cheese and fries. Dessert will be something else W30 not approved.

Doing the Specific Carbohydrate Diet has helped me with that too. I mean, I've still eaten things that don't agree with my gut, but there's no guilt about it and I know exactly what will happen. It feels entirely like a choice instead of a struggle.

Exactly, and I can't make excuses. It is allowed or it isn't.

Sign me up for the "complaining about the government shutdown" party. Although I'm not sure I'll be furloughed right off, I'm paid out of the working capital fund. I think that means I have to show up to work and then maybe later actually get paid for it. Or not.

Welcome back, Jon! You missed (and were missed) a lot here in the journals. The rest of the site has gone to hell in a handbasket, don't even go there.
