    Yes...yes he is.

I was trying to see if I could figure out where you went based on what you ate and thought maybe The Abbey. They make a good pot roast. You might like to know that if you ever go into downtown that there's a whole bunch of new places that are opened or are opening. Construction is starting to wane a bit and it's a little easier to get around. I went to the new Diablo Burger yesterday where they attempt to completely local source all their ingredients and use all pastured beef for the burgers. They even have a gluten free bun option if you want it. Quite tasty!
    Breathe. Move forward.

I just eat what I want...

    Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think it was typed correctly. As Mudflinger said, it made her feel 'mellow and great' It is also often taken as a street drug like some opiates for this effect. So I think Naiad was saying she is irritated by people who get a little bit of strife in their otherwise perfect lives and say "OMG I need soma to be mellow and great!" (which is obviously not its intent. It is intended to be used for what Mudflinger was using it for).
somehow I manage to leave my intelligence and decorum at the door wherever I go. I doubt your journal will be an exception to that - not on the rug

Yup, the Abbey indeed. We'd been to Jax so figured the Abbey would be good also. It was. I'll have to give Diablo Burger a try. I love me a good burger.

Nah, happens to all of us, and I could be wrong. It just seemed to me to be what Naiad was saying. I am sure she will stop by at some point to correct one of us

The ice cream sounds amazing but way too rich for my blood, but hey, it's what K wanted and you're a good man.

Dinner sounded delicious. Are you and K one of those couples that will try each others entrees when you go out? Clint and I rarely do even though I did get him to try lobster tail once.

How much sugar goes into that ice cream recipe? You have a dedicated ice cream maker, right? I read about the attachment for the KitchenAid mixer and was disappointed to read that you get the best results by freezing overnight after mixing. I want instant gratification, dammit!

That being said, I remain lactose intolerant, I will not buy anything to make ice cream .

Yeah, we are those people - Passing forks back and forth across the table. As for the icecream, yes, my pancreas is still in shock, but it made K happy so no complaints

    IIRC:

    2 eggs, 3/4 c sugar, 1 c milk, 2 c hvy cream.

Yup, dedicated ice cream maker. It was edible right out of the machine though I would have liked it a bit firmer. I have a theory that it would have set up better if we had added all the stuff after it was done. I think adding it during (let it run 15 minutes then adding stuff the last five) stopped it from setting up as much as it could have. We'll see what happens the next time I make ice cream in a week or two.

Ah, lactose intolerant. That sucks. Hard.

My dad was lactose intolerant and so is my oldest. I get Caitlyn Lactaid and it helps somewhat.

I definitely want an ice cream maker. Maybe at Christmas I'll get one.
