Jon, Does your work schedule often include overnights? I find that having an odd work schedule makes it hard to get on a regular sleep schedule.

My advice would be to try some 5htp in the evening, but you don't seem to be a supplements guy.

My schedule is different daily and week to week. My 'regular' work day is 4am-1pm, though I often come in at midnight or stay until 5. I usually work 6 days a week, and pick K up from class 4 days a week usually between 8-9pm. When taking classes 'in class' I am usually there until 930-1000 pm (this semester my classes are online which is why I am able to pick up K).

Normally, I can fall asleep when I go to bed. Last night was an exception. Yeah, I don't take suppliments, though I should probably take some B12.

Hopefully it will be a slow day since the non-emergency folks are off work until 10 due to road closures and such. Of course, I probably just jinxed myself.

Of course, a slow day means I will probably be reading the forums and getting pissed off. Some people just make me want to punch them in the throat.

In good news K and I are continuing our tradition of ignoring Hallmark/Extortion Day...I mean Valentines. Such a bullshit day. So that is good. We're planning to go to a Brazillian Meatfest Place on our anniversary which should be cool - she for the salads/side dishes, me for the 20ish varieties of meat.

5.5 hours in bed so woot woot, that is a good night for me.

My sleep Sunday night was also crap. I got 5.5 hrs Sunday which for you is a good night. For me, I can barely function on 7 hours. I need a minimum of 8 hours to get by. I did get 8.5 hours last night. Was so nice. I'm wondering how sleep will be tonight since I will be all alone in the bed(minus a dog or 2).

I made that post a bit more risque for Pebbles. The wife and I also do not participate in the national florist and chocolate maker's holiday. I think I'm going to cut some of the dead Gerber daisies in our flower bed and put them in a vase (aka a big plastic cup) and attached a card that says "My love won't do this". How's that for romantic?

That's actually pretty sweet. My husband knows I hate V day yet he still thinks he needs to get me flowers. I'm not really a flowers and chocolates kind of woman. Oh well, at least he tries.
