GOT Fans... In this month's Esquire magazine there is a letter asking..."Why do they always talk over the sex scenes?"
    I lol'd and I don't even watch.

So, is getting a lesson in history during sex a turn on or a turn off?

Damn it. Every time I come here you're talking about food I love.

Now I have to get risotto ;/ How rude.
There comes a time when you become so fat and sick that you're suddenly willing to listen.

I have never had this delciousness called risotto. Me thinks I have a box in the pantry, just haven't tried it out yet.

It is great if made right. It just take a long time (45 minutes or so) and you have to be there stiring it constantly which is a pain in the ass. You can't just turn it on and walk away like if you were baking something in the oven or whatever

Well, it is one way of doing it. It does make for complaints about too much sex (and I agree from a 'that was not in the books' sense but not in a 'damn, she is rather good looking and oh..so is she' sense) but I am not sure how else they would get the information out. Watching some character just sit there and talk would get dull.

I can't even imagine it. I may have to watch GOT soon just to see what is going on.

    It's kind of like...

Hey Fred, why do you and Joe hate each other?

(insert long story about how Joe and Fred have been fighting since they were kids over blah blah)

except in GOT it would be...

Hey Lord Fred why does Sir Joe hate you? Tell me all about it while I make out with this other woman...thanks

Lord Fred tells you some background info while yeah...

Edit: not all background scenes are that way but some are hilariously so.
