Yes, and I'm sure he cooks great just like my husband, but it almost seems at times as if my husband is trying to make the biggest mess he possibly can.

Yeah, uh- huh. You don't know what a kitchen is and I'm the Queen of the Moon.

BTW My husband is currently at home making Potato Leek soup which I plan to enjoy and Irish Soda bread which I don't know how I will resist. The mess will have to wait until Monday, because we are leaving right after school for his brother's place in Boston.

Man, that sounds delicious. If I can get out of work tomorrow, maybe I will come up, clean in partake in said soup. Just a thought...

Well, I do 100% of the cooking and about 90% of the dishes. Chores are kind of split - I cook and clean the kitchen and bathroom. My wife keeps the dining room table, living room, and bedroom squared away. She dusts, I vaccuum. We both do laundry together as we both hate it.

I like Patrick's idea but yeah, doesn't happen

I cook, clean, do all dishes, the laundry, sweep, vacuum, mop, make sure the kids are in the bath, make lunches.....so wait a minute, does this mean I'm the wife? As my wife says, she is an artist and her job is to write poetry(1st book coming out soon). She once said her idea of housework is sweeping the room with a glance.

Oh, and normal? Not something I'm regularly associated with.

Dude, she's exempted from cleaning. That is fucking clever.

Let us know when her book is out! Congrats to her. Writing is hard enough, but publishing? That takes nerves of steel.

That's enough of that talk. Your not helping the cause!!!

She's been in a couple of anthologies, one that just came out, as well as some other poetry journals. Her book will be out in about a month or so. Luckily she and her editor have similar taste and styles, so they didn't want a lot of changes and the process was smooth and enjoyable for her.

Skink - that rocks dude. Seriously though, what's it like being the wife of an artist?

(kidding. I hope your wife's book is a huge success)
