brussel sprouts. Why? because they are win and look like little cabbages.

Yeah, but they're pricey still. $3/ lb is more than I'm willing to pay for a veggie unless I'm splurging. Hell, I don't even buy steak unless it's below $6/ lb. (which is every other week at HEB, so it's no real loss.)

Well, that is a good point. Wilted spinach?

I buy frozen veggies. May not be fully ideal but they are cheaper.

I just spend way too much on food. It is dumb, but I am enjoying it while it lasts.

Same here but then again, I have 5 mouths to feed. That is why I buy frozen veggies.

Good point. On a seperate note...I need to get a dog. What does that matter? Nothing but I guess that would be another mouth to feed.

Maybe, I have some in the fridge. I'm also contemplating what's in season and cheap, which means peppers, tomatos, berries, and squash. Geek shies away from squash and tomatos (I'm trying to get more veggies in him, so am adjusting the veggies I make.) Maybe just a small salad of spinach and redleaf and make a roasted garlic vinaigrette (or caesar) to go over it.

That sounds good. Nothing beats homemade dressing. Are we talking yellow squash or others? Spaghetti squash is kick ass if you can find it for a reasonable price.
