I once fasted for 14 days to no ill effect. Religious fast, not nutritional. But any time you put your body through something it's not used to it's subject to protest, or at least start muttering under it's breath at you.
Just finished a 23 hour fast. I felt loopy the last 4 hours...kinda rummy...not mentally alert. I ate at about the 23 hour mark and felt like eating more as my body was needing nutrition. I believe the next fast will be shorter in the form of IF so I don't feel "loopy". Any one else have the same results from a fast?
I'm doing my first 24 hour fast. I'm almost done. If anything, I feel like I had a buttload of caffeine, kinda flighty/panic-attackish, but just trying to stay distracted. I can totally hold out 2 more hours. I've made it this far.
I haven't tried IF yet, but I tend to see more 16-18 hour fasts talked about than any other length of time.
Most people don't realize how much energy it takes for me to pretend to be normal.
If I wanted to listen to an asshole, I'd fart.

If you're feeling "looped " or dragged down with no energy , it"s because your body is concentrating it's efforts to do some internal " house cleaning " to remove the build - up of toxins and dibree that tends to build up in all of us . Fasting affects all of us differently . I fast 3 -5 times a year approx . 7 - 10 days at a time and find it a great way to cleanse my body out
