You'll not believe where I saw Nutiva Coconut oil today.... page

Wal-Mart. Hadn't been in one in a long time but heard their grocery offerings had improved so wanted to check it out. Didn't see much difference, except a sizeable area (two shelves) filled with Nutivia coconut oil and a couple of other brands I've seen at Whole Foods. I found it very interesting...and they were mostly out. Lord knows the corn-fed people here in the mid-west need all the help they can get.

What section of the store did you find it in... is it in with the other cooking oils? Is the price comparable to online? Thanks!

It was in the baking supplies aisle. I've been buying mine through Amazon and Wal-Marts price were maybe 20% cheaper.

There are lots of us on this forum who do not live in the US...is that where you are, mikebike? It sure would be nice if they'd sell it here in Canadian Wal-Mart stores.

Dammit. Whereas I on the other hand went specifically to a more distant, fancier WalMart over the weekend, only to find some crap variety of coconut milk with multiple additives, instead of Thai Kitchen. I got the last two cans at my closer, grungier WM last week, and fervently hope they are not going to switch to the new crumbo kind. Grrrr.

I bought it at my Walmart on Sunday. It was where all the corn oils were except they had a specialty oils section. It was $7.32.
