Anyone experiment with Sheep's milk? I just bought some and based on my research it is known to be much more nutritious than goat or cow's milk. Where I live it's about impossible to get raw milk, but this was properly fed, no hormones, no antibiotics, no grains and lightly pasteurized....close as I can get to raw around here.
It tastes great, much like cow's milk and certainly not like goat's milk.
I've had sheep cheese before, but not the milk.
If you like it, go for it
I wonder if my sheep would mind me sampling a bit of milk come lambing time....?
I love, love LOVE sheep's milik cheese (especially Feta and buffala mozzarella)... I'm not much of a milk drinker (as in never LOL) so I can't speak to that.
Enjoy! I love sheep's cheese, but have never had the milk.
I would ferment or culture it Sheep's milk yogurt is really good and I feel like culturing pasteurized dairy helps to restructure the proteins and give it some "life" again.
Except...buffala mozzarella is made from, uhm, buffalo milk....(not really much like a sheep at all)
