Yes, you may. You are an adult, after all, right?

I've hear people here talk about Westbrae's "unsweetened" ketchup. It does have maltodextrin, though. It has 1g carb per tablespoon. The label quotes the sugar as <1g. I'm also leery of "Natural Flavor". However, I was curious about this subject too being new to this, so I'd love to throw this out there and get some more expert opinions.

Ingredients: Water, Tomato Paste (From Red Ripe Tomatoes), Apple Cider Vinegar, Salt, Onion, Maltodextrin (From Corn), Spice, Natural Flavor.

I think if you HAVE to have it, then the Organic stuff is better since it uses sugar instead of HFCS. I wouldn't have it every day since it's definitely not primal (it really depends how strict you want to be), but I would also recommend trying to make your own too. The primal ketchup recipe on this site came out pretty darn good but perhaps you can reduce the recipe to make a smaller batch just to see if you like it. I was a ketchup fanatic growing up but I really do like the homemade stuff as a replacement. I like how much more flavor it has. Regular ketchup is starting to taste more sugary than I recall it being as a result! I have a bit left in the fridge, so I'm going to use it up slowly and then not buy any more.

Yes, you can. I buy Hunts All Natural (no HFCS, but it does have sugar) Ketchup. Unless you adding a ridicules amount of ketchup on your food, it is certainty fine to have it every day. I only add a little on my eggs. Not a big deal.

It seems to me that Grumpy Caveman's answer was not a crack on your grammar but an indication that primal living is about choices and individuality. We are all adults. The choices we make are our own. Should we fall in line with CW or try a primal path? Should we eat dairy or not? Nightshades? For some very low carbs work for others they need more carbs. Many use the 80/20 guideline for ketchup or a piece of cheesecake, while others stick to a very strict diet. To each his/her own.

The simple answer is no, it isn't. It has sugar, but hell, it's ketchup, and being a grown ass man, sometimes I am going to have a little.
