    Paleo Heavy Cream Substitute?

    Primal Fuel
Anyone know of a good one? I've found a few "healthy" ones online, but none I have found are completely Paleo. I am new to Paleo (and new to cooking in general, haha), so good alternatives to use are pretty foreign to me. I will need the heavy cream for the ice cream I am wanting to make, if that makes any difference. I heard using yogurt as a heavy cream sub for ice cream is no good, because it separates. Thanks guys!

We use coconut milk for ice cream. It does lightly flavor the ice cream, but the consistency is superb. You can modify this recipe to give many different flavors (the coconut flavor is not intrusive at all).

    Enjoy!

Heavy cream has very little casein in it, if that's what you're worried about. Heavy cream and butter are, for many people, considered paleo.
