This morning, I read some somewhat health related article, and I immediately Google'd the author's name. I've done this in the past, but not always - it's an interesting way to quickly find out more information about the author.

A few weeks ago, someone linked an article on Yahoo about how low carb diets are bad because they lead to 'forgetfulness.' Which, during the first few weeks is a possibility. But, after Googling for the author's name, I found that she was a big advocate for gastric-bypass style surgery - writing several books on the subject & heading multiple seminars. Surely that article wouldn't be skewed?

So, just a reminder, spend the time to find out more about the author. Sometimes, it just negates whatever they're saying.
