Anyone celebrate a traditional Friday night Shabbat dinner here?

If you do, what do you do for Challah? I do not have bread in the house anymore, and so we've stopped doing the Hamotzi part, but I really want to start it up again. the kids miss it.

    Any ideas for primal challah?

This is what my friend uses:

But she doesn't use cashew milk. She uses coconut milk I believe.

for the high holy days I bought some little individual frozen, gluten-free challahs to say hamotzi over. Might be a good option to have everyone have (or share) their own dinner-roll sized challas as opposed to one (or traditionally 2) that's big enough to have several days of sandwiches from after the meal. I'd call that amount of non-gluten grains part of the 20%.

Just wanted to report back that I tried the recipe lil_earthmomma posted and it is very tasty. My husband and I enjoyed them but the kids did not like it at all. Off to buy some GF challah now and will keep experimenting.

@moonablaze, if I can't find GF challah, I will just buy 3 small ones, one for each kid until I find a suitable alternative.
