Should I be taking calcium supplements?
Been doing great primal - Taking magnesium citrate (calm), Vitamin D, Probiotics, coQ10, multivitamin (very minimal calcium) for about 6 months regularly. Feeling great but:
I notice that at times during the day and without changing my diet at all, my hands have been swelling a little (I used to get this prior to primal with excessive exercize and salt intake). The only thing that might have changed is that about 2 months ago I stopped taking the birth control pill after being on it for many years. (and no, I am definately not pregnant, but hormone fluxuatoins ? as I am 42).
Im wondering if I am taking magnesium without a little calcium - is that ok (I take about 300 mg of calcium per day).
