    Before you change your diet, it helps to know what you're trying to affect. Today's Wall Street Journal has an interesting article about home diagnostic tests, listing several resources. Unfortunately, in printing to pdf the hyperlinks in the sidebar are lost, but the article should help folks looking for where to get some tests.

    Possibly the best line of the entire article is at the end:

"No test should be interpreted in isolation," says Thomas Behrenbeck, a cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic. That's because tests like those for cholesterol "denote risk factors, they do not diagnose disease."
