Biting my nails, is it paleo

I always bite my nails but not because of nerves. I find whenever I use clippers my fingertips have an almost numb sensation but when I bite them when they get to long it feels much better. It's always been a habit of mine and I'm actually pretty good at it, I can get a fairly clean cut and any small bumps or rough parts just get smoothed out after a few days. I imagine any cavepeoples from long ago would have done the same thing, or would daily life have been enough to wear them down to a comfortable length so no maintenance was necessary?

People tell me that i'm nervous, but I am in the same boat as you... I can't stand using nail clippers on my finger nails, although I do think that I tend to bite my nails more when I'm watching an intense movie. I know its a bad habit, but.....

Wait, is this an honest to god question?

Don't get carried away folks, forget about cavepeople and use your own logic and common sense. Should you be biting your nails as an adult? no, you should probably stop. I don't bite my nails but I used to, it just takes some dedication, but you look foolish with your hand in your mouth, even when entirely alone.

I'm going to open a Grok Salon where a bunch of beauticians sit around and chew your fingernails down.

Seriously...is driving a car Paleo? Is indoor plumbing?

You've only got to look at the variation across modern cultures on this kinda thing to realize that biting/not biting nails is likely to be something man has done all along, and pre-tools it would have been our only way.
    Liz.

Zone diet on and off for several years....worked, but too much focus on exact meal composition
Primal since July 2010...skinniest I've ever been and the least stressed about food
