Was just thinking of buying one, actually.
I cracked out the pressure cooker tonight. That stupid thing has sat in my cupboard for 9 years and I think I have used it like 3 times. I never knew what to do with it. Soooooo I am trying a chicken stew...if it comes out good I will add it to my blog. Has anyone tried the pressure cooker yet?

You lousy kids! Get off my savannah!
Well I will let you know how it goes. They are rather inexpensive, I think I got this as a gift though at my wedding shower. I begged the person to give me some recipes for it....and she never did....![]()

I have to admit the part that was intimidating was really the timing of the cooking...how long do you let it blow its top and Mark pretty much answered that so the fear factor is gone, it is just a little loud, it is steaming away right now.

I love mine. great for tough hunks of meat that you don't want to wait on the crock pot for.

I like my pressure cooker and I don't use it as much as I probably should. Sure is good for quick cooking shitty cuts of meat though.
I love my pressure cooker. Always haveGo googling and chase down a rabbit hole or two of pressure cooker recipes and you'll be hooked for life
Even makes grassfed tough mother roasts like butter

I use mine some. Usually stew. Sometimes artichokes.

Primal Blueprint Explorer My blog for people who are not into the Grok thing. Since starting the blog, I have moved close to being Archevore instead of Primal. But Mark's Daily Apple is still the best source of information about living an ancestral lifestyle.
I just got inspired by the post too: I bought a pressure cooker MONTHS ago and finally used it for the first time tonight. I think I would describe it as magical elves combined with a steam locomotive. I made the beef stew, and it turned out amazing. The beef stew meat was tender and delicious, and the veggies were still recognizable, as opposed to gloppy. The only thing I would change is maybe adding a thickener- arrowroot or coconut flour- at the end, so the liquid is more like gravy.
Just don't freak out: the pressure cooker is pretty loud when it is in action.
With Mark's help, I've conquered depression, acne, rosacea, scale obsession, migraines, and lethargy. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
