I applaud your primal intentions. I smoked too much in my grad days, which ended with graduation, thank goodness. I taught for years, and I began to notice about 10-15 years ago, that the normally lean college freshmen girls had these little pot bellies, and finally I asked one of my students if she could account for it, and her immediate answer was Beer! I'm sure the addition of lots of extra soda didn't help either. Cokes were tiny 8oz bottles back in my college days, now they are lumberjack size.Girls certainly used to put on the Freshman 15, but it was more evident in the face, not the mid-section. Girls didn't drink much beer in my college days (60s) and you didn't see that excess belly fat.

I know i have gained most of the weight i've gained in the last fyear or so through beer. suffered through a total crap job that was wearing me down, and my emotional response was to drink more.
Since I started my new job last month, my drinking has lessened, but i'm still working to reduce it, because i know it's gonna cause issue if I don't.
I will miss you, Jameson and High Life, but i won't miss losing the fat baby in my stomach![]()
Yes, ketosis can come out in the breath, but usually won't if you drink at least a litre of fluids each day. I always drink a lot of green tea through out the day and never get the bad breath. And, you can chew some parsley or basil to sweeten the breath.
My son used to complain about my coffee breath when he was little, but he paid me back with peanut butter breath which I can't abide.
