I think it's going to be too mushy to try to dehydrate. I'm not sure, but I think there will be too much moisture after you thaw a fruit up.

Why are you trying to dehydrate a previously frozen fruit?

My father-in-law picks blackberries. I have about 60 -70 quarts frozen. I found the recipe for Luna Bars and thought I could use some berries since I have so many of them. I figured they would be too mushy, but wondered if anyone else had tried it.

Use a vacuum pump instead of heat. What, you don't have one?????

Hmmm...when I was a kid, we used to make blackberry "fruit leather." We did it by pureeing the fruit (so it wouldn't matter if it was frozen first; you could always let it sit in a colendar to drain off the extra juice), then spreading the puree on thin, plastic mats that sat atop the food dehydrator trays. Flip the switch and let it whirr!
