Thanks everyone for the thoughtful posts. I'll keep you updated weekly. The only whole30 modification I am doing is weighing daily and tracking my food which is an integral part of the SPEED program.

Agreed, but in this particular case the change was going to be massive. Just two weeks earlier I had been saying somewhere that I could never do and unmodified whole30 because I would not give up my AS or Dairy. I felt like such a hypocrite.

Or that you grew, and learned, and gained confidence in yourself, again every experience brings us to where we are now.

You are inspiring to me that you are so successful. I have given up some things on Whole 30 but would like to get where you are. Whole paleo= goal.

Tribal Dance practice last night was awesome. It is fun to see the choreograpy coming together. There are 6 ladies in the troupe ranging in age from the 30's to 50's. All have a great sense of humor and of self, if you know what I mean.

My costume is nearly put together. I'll be wearing a black choli crop top with 3/4 sleeves, a burgundy coin bra over that, a headscarf with a gold coin head covering, harem pants covered by a 25 yard gypsy skirt in olive green. Other decorations include jewelry, coin wrist cuffs, and a beautiful tribal tassel belt in burgundy and forest green. WHAT? Did you think I would be nearly naked? Sorry, that is middle eastern style belly dance. lol

I will have my husband take a picture to post here.

PS I do have a middle eastern style outfit that I hope to use for my after picture when I reach goal. ;P

Whew, I was worried there for a second

I'm glad to hear your choreography is coming together and how fun it is. Your outfit sounds damned cool. Coins everywhere lol.
somehow I manage to leave my intelligence and decorum at the door wherever I go. I doubt your journal will be an exception to that - not on the rug

That costume and class sound fun. I should really try something new like that - you never know where stuff like that can lead you... New friends, new body image, fun...
