Thanks everyone. A small note on my "Thoughts on" essays. When I started this journal a year ago, I wanted it to be more than a food log. I felt that if I shared my life honestly, I could help myself and others. The essays usually come after a long period of thinking. Some may say I am giving too much information in a public journal. Maybe, but it helps me and I still have some secrets ; )
As far as food and exercise are concerned, I put that info on the SPEED group journal. In case you are interested, Here is what I am doing.
Food 1500-1700 cals, 150g protein, 100g fat , <50g carb. I was experimenting with the bulletproof coffee that was adding 500 cals of fat to my morning. I was hoping that it would help me avoid bingeing. Not so much...I binged last night. I have decided to go back to the lower cal model that some of us women of a certain age seem to need. That way if I binge once a week, I'll still make progress.
26g protein shake, 1 egg, 3 bacon, coffee w/ 2tbsp HWC or CO milk and stevia or splenda
4-6oz protein usually chicken or tuna
1/2- 1cup of veg ( I just found these great pictsweet spring and summer blends for the microwave - speed, convenience and variety)
6-8 oz protein
salad, O&V dressing, 1/2 avocado
I sometimes add a serving of nuts or 1 oz of cheese if I am especially hungry. Generally, I drink water, & coffee. My new addiction is Mio water flavoring. Unfortunately, it adds more artificial sweetener to my diet.
