Exactly. Also, who doesn't gain weight over the holidays? It's called living P. Nothing to get down about.

You should be excited to know that you can relax for a few days and know that you have a program that works that you can easily get right back on. My suggestion is not to punish yourself by going in and adding a bunch of stuff to try to reverse things, go back to what has been working. After things settle down a week or two into the new year then you can start adding things.

This headache is more like a migraine. I am paralyzed on the couch. Ugh.

Thanks for the support. I feel like crap physically and emotionally because I ate like crap. There is a lesson there.

It turns out, that some of my headache is caffeine withdrawal. My SIL likes really strong coffee. I probably drank 1-2 cups more /day than usual at double strength. Today I slept in and woke up with the headache. I had my first cup of coffee at 10:30 am. That first cup took the edge off, so I am currently having # 2. I haven't eaten yet. Nauseous.

    feel better.

Jump back into your routine and those pesky pounds will melt away - I'm sure they are mostly inflammation from eating things that are crappy.

Oh, yikes. Here's hoping your head feels better.
As opposed to beating yourself up, try seeing it like this: there is really only one day a year that is devoted to gluttony. You enjoyed your gluttony and found out why it doesn't work to do it all the time. Hence, it's easier to hop back on your program that you know works. So long as you fully enjoyed those meals, there is nothing to beat yourself up about.
